Why do North American pro sports teams relocate to different cties more often than European pro sports teams?
Ashley H asked:
I can think of so many North American examples: SuperSonics to Oklahoma City, Houston Oilers becoming the Tennessee Titans, Montreal Expos becoming the Washington Nationals, and the Hartford Whalers becoming the Carolina Hurricanes. These are just a few examples. I can’t think of any European examples. Why doesn’t it happen in Europe as often?

I don’t know about Europe sports but aren’t they country-based? It is different moving a team to a different country than just moving it across the country.
