I can think of so many North American examples: SuperSonics to Oklahoma City, Houston Oilers becoming the Tennessee Titans, Montreal Expos becoming the Washington Nationals, and the Hartford Whalers becoming the Carolina Hurricanes. These are just a few examples. I can’t think of any European examples. Why doesn’t it happen in Europe as often?
